Some may criticize me because I love animals more than people, but frankly, animals deserve my love more.
Take my dog for instance:
I am the center of his life and he is the center of mine. I can’t say that about anyone else. He follows me from room to room – always at my heels. He becomes very upset when I leave the house though so he suffers from separation anxiety. =[ So whenever I'm not with him, he's on my mind and I can't wait to come home and see him. When I do come home, he becomes so excited to see me that he jumps around, wiggles, and kisses me - talk about loyalty.
He's just so innocent. Yes, he will do things that he knows he's not supposed to. [Like get into the trash when I'm not home!] But I still love him anyway. He can always make me laugh even if I’m upset. =]
Ahh I don’t know what I’d do without him.
People on the other hand are not so innocent. The ones you love the most are always going to be the ones that hurt you the most. Sadly that’s the unescapable truth.
Dogs won’t lie to you, they won’t talk about you behind your back, they won’t even argue with you; They are loyal companions that will stick with you through anything. They give out their unconditional love to those who need it and even to those who don’t deserve it.
Animals will always have a soft spot in my heart.
